What Is Fotona®?
Fotona® is the medical laser platform behind three of the treatments we offer at Ultimate You Med Spa. One system, different wavelengths and depths — which is what lets the same laser lift and tighten facial skin, build fullness in the lips, or firm the soft tissue at the back of the throat.

For a facial treatment, arrive with a clean, product-free face. Before any Fotona® session, avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications such as aspirin for 2 to 3 days. These simple steps help the tissue respond well and let your provider work at the settings that give the best result.
What to Expect on the Day
Your session begins with an assessment and a quick recap of your plan. Your provider then works through the passes for your treatment in a single visit, adjusting depth and settings as they go.
Most people feel a warm or tingling sensation throughout. Sessions usually run 30 to 60 minutes depending on which Fotona® treatment you are having, so most of them fit inside a lunch break.

Recovery and Aftercare
Mild redness or warmth can follow a session, and it usually fades within a few hours. There is no required recovery time, and most people return to their normal routine straight away.
Results keep developing over the following weeks as your body responds and lays down new collagen, so the change you see at two weeks is not the change you will see at two months.

It depends on the treatment and on your goals. Many people see a noticeable improvement after one session, and a short series of 3 to 4 treatments spaced a few weeks apart is common for the fullest result. Your provider will give you a specific plan at your consultation.

What is the difference between Fotona 4D®, LipLase® and NightLase®?
All three run on the same Fotona® laser platform, but they target different tissue. Fotona 4D® lifts and tightens facial skin over four passes, working from the inside of the mouth as well as the surface. LipLase® warms the deeper layers of the lip so it builds its own volume and definition, with no filler. NightLase® firms the soft tissue at the back of the throat to reduce the vibration behind snoring.
How do I know which Fotona® treatment is right for me?
Book a consultation. We start with the concern — sagging or lined skin, thin or undefined lips, snoring — and then match it to the treatment built for it. If more than one applies, we will tell you which to start with and how to sequence the rest.
Are Fotona® treatments painful?
Most people describe a warm sensation and find the treatments comfortable. There are no needles, no incisions and no anesthesia. Say something at any point if it feels too warm and your provider will adjust the settings.
How many sessions will I need?
